First Outing

So as the longest day is well behind us and the forthcoming season approaches is anyone else getting itchy feet? when do you all plan on going out this year? i will exercise patience and wait until october if i can.

 

Any thoughts and goals for this season people??

I will be having a little nose about august on any little open holes until the cover dies. I need to keep this fella gainfully employed

September for me as well, open ground burrows and in the woods first and let the hedges die back ( seem to take ages last year ). Every year waiting for the new season I seem to be like a kid waiting for Christmas.

I like to get on any shared permission first the as the season goes on just onto the land were only I go best of both worlds then

Will try late September provided its cold enough and I don't get younguns running through my nets,as that normally means a lot of lay ups digging the dogs tend to eat the young they catch so end up with worms.

Also lot of the places I go you need a few hard frost to kill off the greenery so you can get to the holes

This is a question I was going to ask as this is my first full season and wasn't to sure when to start. I was told when there is a R in the month.

The cover is right about february around here then its time to pack up. So I like to start early and just struggle a bit
