Well lads iv been ask,d to do this

but ill be using pics from Barry,s (belucky) and rods (squarbs) hw35,s refurbs

REMOVING THE RUST AND BLUING

first off you will need tin foil (just the cooking tin foil)

remove the barrel and the chamber and any other parts that need doing

A HELP FULL TIP

IF YOUR NOT SURE ABOUT WHERE THE SCREWS OR BOLTS GO JUST TAKE A PIC WITH YOUR MOBILE BEFORE YOU TAKE IT APART

SAME WHEN YOU REMOVE THE INTERNALS SPRING ,,PISTON ,,AND SO ON

AND YOU CAN REFER BACK TO IT WHEN YOUR REBUILDING IT

Once you have them all in bits get the tin foil and crumple it into a ball (not a tight ball)

then rub all the bluing off you will find it comes off easy

once you have removed the bluing you will see the rust pitting if this is bad you will need to

remove this with a wire brush that fits into a grinding wheel or one that fits into a drill

ALL WAYS USE SAFETY CLASSES AND GLOVES WHEN DOING THIS AS LITTLE BITS OF THE WIRE BRUSH WILL FLY OFF AND HIT YOU

Put a cloth into a bench vice to help protect the part you are bluing when you clamp it into the vice .

Then start to wire brush it down (ONLY IF YOUR USING THE DRILL BRUSH)

DO ALL THE PART YOUR GOING TO DO NOT JUST WHERE THE PITTING IS

If your using a bench grinder wire brush slowly turn the part as your running it across the wire wheel .

Once this is done and your happy with what you have done you need to polish it to a high shine .

POLISHING .

You will need a polishing wheel and again one that fits onto a bench grinder or one that fits into a drill .

BENCH GRINDER POLISHING

You will need polishing soap or auto sol

set the grinder away and put the soap onto the polishing wheel

if using auto sol but this onto the part that needs polishing

then same as before slowly turn the part as you run it across the wheel

until you have a mirror Finnish

DRILL POLISHING.

Place the drill into the vice

and repeat the above

Make sure the drill is tight and safe at all times

and use gloves and safety glasses .

ONCE YOU HAVE ALL THE BITS POLISHED TO A HIGH SHINE

you will need to de,grease all the parts with a de,greaser

ONCE THIS IS DONE DO NOT TOUCH WITH YOUR BARE HANDS AS THE NATURAL OIL OFF YOUR HANDS WILL CONTAMINATE THE PART YOUR GOING TO BLUE .

you will need to use gloves from now on the sort you find in A and E or the ones you see mechanics use (DONT KNOW WHAT YOU CALL THEM )

Find some thing that fits in the barrel that you can hold so your not holding the part that is going to be blue,d .

get an old tub and place the liquid into the tub

get some 0000 wire wool and PLACE THE PART THAT IS GOING TO BE BLUE,D ABOVE THE TUB AND DIP THE WOOL INTO THE LIQUID AND LIGHTLY RUB THE BLUING ALL OVER THE PART IN AN UP AND DOWN MOTION DO THIS FAST AS THE BLUING TAKES TO IT VERY QUICK .

Once this is done leave it for the stated time on the bottle then wash off with water

and dry with a soft cloth or tea towel

LEAVE TO STAND FOR A FEW HOURS THEN REPEAT IF YOU NEED TO .

Once your happy with it give it a rub over with the gun oil of your choice

and then rebuild taking care not to scratch it as you go

SOME TIMES YOU CANT GET A FACTORY FINISH MIND AS IN THE FACTORY THEY HOT BLUE THEM BUT YOU CAN GET AS CLOSE AS .

another help full tip

IF YOU HEAT THE PART THAT IS GOING TO BE BLUE,D

WITH A HEAT GUN NOT TO HOT MIND JUST ENOUGH SO THE BLUING WILL TAKE BETTER

IF YOUR HAVING BOTHER WITH THE BLUING TAKING TO THE METAL

BLUING WILL NOT TAKE TO ALLOY MIND .
