I use the Napier patches in my gun cabinet and I spray the inside of the cabinet with the Napier spray. I use Napier pellet oil on the pellets as well. These Napier products have got , I think it's called, VP90 in it. It's a water dispersant and stops rust. I used to get bloody mould on my S410's walnut stock before I started using the Napier. http://www.napieruk.com/acatalog/Oils__Cleaners_Etc.html

Another trick you could try, is to use a drop of gun oil like Bisley oil onto a bit of fine wire wool and gently rub it over the rust spots.

I found this removes light surface rust and brings back the sheen and shine without damaging the blueing.
