no, not necessarily , alot of pure whippets have pricked up ears . its hard to say , but looking at the pic, he might have drop greyhound in him as well. none ped racing whippets norm go 18 in- 23

Whippets vary a lot in their looks. I've got an ugly whippet, pricked ears, quite cloddy and looks ancient even though she's only nine. Good honest bitch though. Very, very obedient, the best jumper I've ever had, clean in the house and very loyal. She's not particularly fast or clever, but she's a really capable all rounder who always gives 100%.

I've also got her daughter, she's a real eye catcher, very streamlined-- a real picture. But she's nowhere near as capable as her mother. Just be happy with what you've got mate. Handsome is as handsome does. If yours has a bit of non whippet blood so what? :thumbs:

Had seen about the dna tests but i dont think id pay that for one im too stingy haha bit of manners in him and fitness then out for some lamping come the dark nights again, maybe do a write up when i see how he gets on then ?

I wouldn't trust those DNA tests tbh they come up with some right shite.

I remember someone on an American forum doing one of those tests on a APBT of theirs to prove how bullshit they were. It ended up coming back saying this dog with a pedigree that could be traced back to some of the first bulldogs to be brought to America was a mix of collie, gundog and chow :laugh:

 

Maybe they've improved since then though? This was probably 10 or more years ago.

That's the kind of results I mean mate :D

Saw one similar that saw a street mutt,saying it was something like 25% bulldog 12.5 % toy poodle great Dane etc etc they sell the service to dingbats with no clue
