They will pick up a rabbit as a small heat speck at 200yds , fox out to 350yds . The image and terrain detail is nowhere near as good as the larger lens models XD/XQ 38/50mm but they are cheap and probably the best in there price range compared to competition.

I have been using one of these an think it's a fantastic piece of kit, this really opens your eyes to what you're missing in the field, last night I scanned a small field with my N/V setup and could only spot 3 rabbits due to the eye shine, with the Quantum lite I was able to see around 12 rabbits along the edge of the field that were looking away, not only that but I've been able to observe a pair of cub foxes out playing in the adjacent farmers fields at around 300 yards.

I particularly like the black hot mode and the 7 colour pallete, it can make a real difference being able to change the image colour when scanning, it could just be me but it seems some colours are easier on the eye?

overall its fantastic but I do find the brightness control is too easily moved, maybe the dial would have been better as push buttons? The other buttons are easy to reach and quite intuitive once you have learned the layout.

Amazing what you miss Paul when scanning with lamp or NV!

I had the older model HD/XD/XQ quantums and its very easy to adjust compared to the Hellion models, the rotary knob is nice and simple....downside being its easily knocked... would of been better being spring loaded with the ability to lock into place once set...
