lgray88 4 Posted February 5, 2008 Report Share Posted February 5, 2008 well how big is your polecat to be honest i aint seen much diffrence in the wild one compared to a feral ferret obviously apart from the colour as nearly all of them are the poley colour , but as for size i aint seen nothin hobs are normally alot bigger than jills but that is obvious , i was led to beleive that you can only see much of a diffrence if you see there skeleton, the base of the skull is diffrent and they have more crowded teeth , if any one agrees or disagrees id like to hear what you all think Quote Link to post

Has anyone heard of this or ever owned a pure polecat? Also, are there any diferences between true polecats and ferrets e.g. larger, etc... apart from the fact that polecats are wild? And one more question, if you released your ferret could it survive perfectly OK in the wild? Luke. It is illegal to purposely release a ferret into the wild. It will not survive, it will end up as fox food. If you don`t want it, give it away or take it to an animal rescue centre. basil. Quote Link to post
