Hutch Cleaning

Recommended Posts

W5 all purpose cleaner on floors and walls, then i use the w5 bacterial spray, i spray the corners bedding area and anywhere else that needs it. I clean them out every couple of weeks and I change the dirty saw dust every day. Im a slight germaphobe so i keep the run spotless. W5 stuff is good and doesnt leave any residue or smell of bleach.

I put UPVC sill board on the walls around their toilet area, this make it easer to clean down that area. Have used wallpaper steam striper without the plate just the hose for corners. As other lads said spray and wash down boiling water.

Nice one, cheers for all the helpful replies. I was a bit dubious about using any general kitchen surface cleaner but it seems like a pretty common thing to be using. They get a regular clean out and as their toilet is over mesh, most of the mess just drops through to the litter tray underneath. But after a winter all the little bits that don't will soon start to cause some problems now the heat will be picking up a bit (wishful thinking?)

Jeyes fluid and 'Clean N Safe' disinfectant spray from the petshop.

Also I line the toliet area with old plastic dog food sack material which is easier to clean as you can just lift it out and chuck it away
