Someone Asked About New Stock Bolts For An Hw97.

Recommended Posts

I can't remember who mentioned it a couple of weeks ago.

Anyway, I've been doing a few bits to my 97 and, I never did like those horrible stock screw things that Weihrauch use on the fore end and trigger guard

So, I ordered item number 222440516971 from ebay.

It's a full new set of allen bolts for the trigger guard and, brass cups and allen bolts for the fore end.

The cups fit the holes in the stock perfectly - a few rotations on the allen bolt gets them to seat nice and flush.

They look 100 times better and, so far, they seem to secure better than the old ones :good:

Tons better Jon.

I do not understand why in this day and age when there are so many different types of screw/bolt heads available, why the hell do they use the flat blade type of head, the worst on the planet for releasing or nipping up......................................................sheer bloody madness .

Rant over

I hate em

I'm the same mate

...... Surely it can't cost that much more to fit decent bolts .......... or finish the springs properly, or lube properly, or fit a slightly tighter guide to stop the twang

I reckon they may have got them spot on for the British market - we love a good moan and a tinker :hmm::laugh:

The ones that I saw only have the brass cups and stainless bolts.
