Sorry if its a dull question but bear with me ,is it not easier skinning when warm, and could you use a blow lamp on low too singe them....looks tasty, we've had some move here in the last year but waiting till they breed on a bit first, good pics BTW.

A couple of others have mentioned the singeing with a torch and if we get the chance we may have a go.....

you probably think im lying but iv seen one in yorkshire i told a friend i go lamping with he said his dad as spotted it in the same area we have kept it quiet though people will say were lying or going mad lol! hope they breed haha.

Thats not strictly true :D if you look at google maps the border runs up through monmouth and through the forrest of dean we shot ours on the english side :clapper::clapper:

Theres quite a few in the Forest these days according to local reports anyway

But some great pics there are you controlling these as part of land management control for the forrestry
