TC just a heads up of what I've found in my limited time taking a few pics whilst roaming the countryside,I've bought lenses Tamron,Sigma that fit the Canon but unless your going into the high end lenses by those manufacturers then Canon's equivalent are BETTER.A very sharp lens of Canons is the EF 28-70mm F3.5-4.5 mark 2 with the metal mount an old lens but it really is impressive, read the reviews bud in testing it almost equals that of the L Series lens of similar length. That and a 70-200mm F4 L Series is pretty much all you would need mate, ive fallen & broken half a dozen lenses whilst out & about lol but i did buy the 70-200mm for less than £300 & I'm glad i did & up to press it's survived a good few knocks,I've one or two half decent pics from it,i have loads of lenses lol but the 70-200mm is the one i use most unless just photographing landscapes & stuff.Mine hasn't got the image stabilisation but i can live with that. Its pretty light & is worth the money imo..

That is a good photo. :clapper: Many thanks for the advice, taken on board. I did have some money saved, but a dishwasher, hover and Iron going in one 5 day period sort of took care of that.

I fancy a telephoto lens, and after looking at all the lens in my affordable bracket I came up with this lens. https://www.amazon.co.uk/d/Shops/Canon-8546B002-EF-55-250-STM-Lens/B00EP71ETU It does not have the range of a 75-300mm but from what I have read what it lacks in range it makes up for in sharpness in that price bracket.

Has anyone tried this lens, if you have your opinions please. BTW I will be using it with a canon Rebel T3i which is a cropped frame camera.

TC

I use that lens mate its not a bad lens 55 250 stm
