Joe that would be a reasonable excuse to have a airgun ?> or as said pop in a sack and good night but no in front of the land owner

sure would be mate, had to sell up before for a few reasons. might get another in future. am not trying to trap them, f****rs keep trying to steal the apples. would sack and wack be ok in the eyes of the law?

Aye go for it joe see if you can get a nice hessian sack and keep it in the motor for such a thing then give them a nice centre parting , far easier though putting a divider in a cage trap and shooting them in the head with a pellet .

Watch what your doing with that one as well it was in the papers no long ago somebody took three shoots to kill a squirrel and the R.S.P.C.A. where autopsying it to see if it died in pain ie no witnesses

:hmm:If you are live trapping a critter,..your first priority is to kill the captive, as quick as....

With Grey squirrels,...perhaps employ the sack method....

Place the sack over the cage entrance,..tilt the trap slightly upwards and allow the animal to bolt into the sack.

Then,.grip the sack and twist it shut.

Gently,... feel for the squirrel and when you have located his neck,...just dislocate the vertebra,..same as you would a netted rabbit..

Quick, clean,..and above all,...humane...
