Bsa,air Sporter Refurb

Here it is can't find the make, but as said dedicated for bsa airguns with there awful mounting grooves, it is the only mount that seems to work on this gun and has held zero well for long periods of time, hope you can See

A little of what she is going to look like lads   stripped the trigger guard and the trigger back to silver   and the pellet trap handle   just got a few more jobs to do then she will finaly be

Just put the first coat of oil on the stock

 

the first coat all ways sinks into the stock and acts like a base coat so the rest of the oil sits on top so to speak ,

 

Not much to look at at the moment so no pics

 

ill put another coat on tonight

Just been to my mate,s John the rfd to get the action machine polished

 

she is coming a long nicely now stripped the hole action and buffed it all up plus the piston

 

got some new seals for her as well and a new washer for the piston and seal

just done the blueing on the action

 

cleaned and polished the chamber out re,polished the piston again

 

just got to do the spring ends and the top hat

 

then she will be put back together again (the action)

 

the stock needs a few more coats of oil first

 

Matt i may just keep this one for my self bud

 

would any one blame me if i did

Looking forward to seeing it finished, the last airsporter I had was the 'S' model. The ones I've had were pellet sensitive though, only worked well with eley wasps 5.6mm, the original ones. Wouldn't mind a mk1 or mk2 just for nostalgia value. Great thread, thanks for sharing.

It's looking very good mate :yes:

 

I've always liked the way the metalwork on those BSAs swoops down toward the grip - it's only simple but, a nice bit of styling :good:
