Bsa,air Sporter Refurb

Iv started the A,S refurb

 

while i wait for parts for the bsa cadet and tornado

 

this A,S just needs a little work on her and once the blueing is done ill strip back the stock

 

and do that ,

If you can show that grain jimmy when yove done , that will be one of the best stocks I will ever see !

This is a prime example of why a stock should be light in this instance

I done my mercury in Danish oil, does,nt have lovely grain but still a much better finish than the sadlin they put on from new, with a grain like that it should come out lovely and the nice thing about oil is that it feeds the wood, you can top it up each year and you can determine the colour by the number of coats you put on also not as slippery when it gets wet, sorry the picture ain't great but you get the ideal

i can't remember the make of them but I think they are designed for the bsa so they hang over the back and bring the scope back a bit, it's a one piece mount and holds really well, I will have a peep at it and see if it has a make on it and put a better picture up if you want

Here it is can't find the make, but as said dedicated for bsa airguns with there awful mounting grooves, it is the only mount that seems to work on this gun and has held zero well for long periods of time, hope you can See
