You're doing a fab job of the 35L Jimmy

Regarding the black stains, Depending upon what it is, A bleach bath may removove it, If it's an oil stain, Oxalic acid will most likely remove it

Here's a Mk1 HW80 that I bought from a local dive shop, It was pitted very deeply so I had it on my 30"x1" linisher but only on the slack area above the platten, Kept going until i'd removed metal to the bottom of the deepest pit!!

I polished it then a mate got it Hot chemically re blacked for me..

Nice john very nice

I was going to put the grinder to it with a flap disc on it but Viz told me not to as it would put flat spots on her so did it all by hand lol

Im fecked the night mind im leaving the stock until tomorrow ill give her a rub over with the wire wool then put the first coat of tru oil on her then let it dry before the next coat ,

just got to polish the piston and chamber and get rid of some of the old shit from inside her now

then she will be ready for the new spring and piston seal and the breach seal then put her all back together

i just hop Barry is happy with her .

Just dont know what piston seal is on her its as if there were two one inside the other the outer one dose not look like leather and the inner one is hard plastic

Well had a few hours to kill so i set about the Relum Tornado

got her as best i could by hand and just put the first coat of blueing on her

but before i did i used a dremmel with a tiny wire brush and got into all the places i could not by hand and it worked a treat

could not take her all apart as most of the screws were seized tight lol
