Predator Metalmag .177

Recommended Posts

Phils Polymags are here :good:

...... Cheers Phil :)

He's sent some regulars and shorts.

The .177 shorts were shit hot in my HW100 up to 40 yrds so, I'm looking forward to trying them in the GSX100.

I'll get it done over the next couple of days and put the results up.

that pigeon looks a bit worse for where just put the photon on the 510 jon gonna have a crack at the rabbits tonight with the metals after a wee bit of rat bashing!! the sniper light's are shite i

Si recently sent me a sample of these to try - Cheers Si   These are the metal tipped version of the Polymags and, they look like nasty little buggers.   The .177 Polymags worked well for me out

Here's some quick 5 shot groups for a bit of comparison - Metalmags first, then the regular Polymags, then Polymag shorts on the bottom.   The Polymag shorts gave a much tighter group - as good as m

Well done si, that rat must have come Up't North from my part of London for the day.

All the best

Safe to say I'm happy with the metals jon

Only shot a few rats last night ... first shot big fat one just rolled onto its side :) bout 25yard

IMG_1308.JPG

Furthest shot of the night was 40yrd'ish off the stick with the 510 and it whacked it right between the eyes, it was in a rubble pile rife with them that I didn't fancy fishing about in :(

Nailed a fair few ferrels with them too, all I can say is watching them hit they cause some serious damage!!

Atb si

Nice work Si,

That one's a big b*****d as well :o

Phil's put me some Polys in the post - I'm thinking about giving those a whirl on the rats.

got to admit most of them are big... think it must be steroid feed for the animals :icon_eek:

there know where near as big as the seagulls up here that live on fish n chips and kebabs.. if only you could shoot them

was a bid dubious about using the 177 on the rats after using the 22 for months but these metals switch stuff off big time and they make a 22 whack when they hit,

my mate uses a 177 hw100 with super fields, they do the trick for him but these are something else!

only down side is lugging the 510 about and focusing the photon is a pain, it weighs a ton compared to the cat :censored:

cant see the polys and these being much different jon, think its just finding one that suits the barrel.. never had a fussy L/W barrel i think there spot on

cheers si

The Polymag shorts gave a much tighter group - as good as my usual JSB Heavies at 30yrds.

I'm wondering if their shorter length means less drag while they're flying.

I may invest in more of these and do a bit more testing to see how the GSX100 likes them at longer ranges.

The grey target squares are 10mm.

Nothing wrong with those shorts Jon. If you are going to get some, look at Voymir as they are doing all of them at better prices than I have seen anywhere else so far.

Will do Phil - Cheers

It can only be a couple of mil' difference in the length but, the difference in accuracy is amazing

I found the shorts to be far better in my HW100. I can get them in .25 as well................................................................. :whistling:

Phil

Do it mate

It's been a while since I watched any but, I'm sure I've seen some Yank YouTubers using them in .25 with awesome results ;)
