Darkening The Ds

It looks like a nice piece of walnut now, I would wait and see what it looks like tomorrow before deciding, but I would almost be tempted to go one more shade darker, see what it's like when dry.

For me definitely darker, if it was me i'd try and rub out the Daystate carving as well....

she is a lot darker than the pics lads

 

but you may be right you no when its just not there yet that little niggle you get when you look at it and it just dose not put that smile on your face .

You do need to see it first hand to see how dark wood suits the gun, got a T-bolt which to me looks amazing is as dark as your sling looks in the pics but a different gun it wouldn't suit being so dark.

Do love the way you all tinker with your guns and improve them.

No got a new mattress for my wife as she is band from going up stairs after her accident(falling down the stairs and ending up in hospital, sleep walking) so we put the single bed in the living room lol

 

just put another good coat on her going to let her dry for a good few hours now then put the oil on her Mark

 

then thats her done
