Making me hungry this quiz, I fancy a chicken tarka, its like a tikka but a bit 'otter. (i'll get my coat..)

Ever considered applying for Mastermind and asking for terrier work as your specialist subject? That would put the fox among the chickens ☺

Since this forums been quiet lately I threw a little quiz together for the working terrier nerds out there for some amusement. I'll buy a couple of pints for the first person to get all the questions

Well done Neil. Some much needed light relief I think. Nasty rather than quiet recently I would say. Debating good, arguing boring and a little bit unseemly on an open forum. I hope that comment doesn't upset anyone and start an argument. I didn't chance my arm because would needed to have cheated in order to get full points/pints.

Could you help me out with Q.14 please and phonetically spell sionach? This is one of the many questions that I didn't know. The reason being March 17th is fast approaching and, being a plastic Paddy, I always meet up with like minded old friends on this date and intend to use it at some point during the day.

Sionnach, the Gaelic for fox I would pronounce "shin-ock" but obviously it would be pronounced differently around Ireland.

Another common name for the fox in Ireland is "Madra Rua," . Madra meaning dog ,Rua meaning red, The Red Dog.

And for anyone else who's interested.

Madra Uisce , the Otter, uisce being water. The Water Dog.

And guess what Broc is Irish for ?

The first man to show me the ropes regarding strongdogs, terriers and running dogs was born in America and raised in an Irish speaking part of Galway.

He gave all his dogs Irish names and at one time had over 100 dogs.

Some of the names were beautiful.
