Longnets Dogs & Ferrets The Video

Recommended Posts

love the vid,,i do like watching hunting in other countries,,ive been fortunate to go ferreting in oz,,,defo a difrent experiance ferreting in shorts... :D

dont want to teach you to suck eggs,,but heres a few tips,,goes for anybody really....

extracting rabbits from longnets,,,,stand behind the net,,so you can still see the warren, chin the rabbit ,,stand with feet shoulder width apart,,and put the tips of your toes,,on the bottom line,,,with your hands pull the top line up,,,then pull the gatthered in mesh around the rabbit away from it,,,in other words your right hand pulls the mesh anlong the lines to the right and your left hand to the left,, very often these movements will flick the rabbit back out the net...not always of course if the rabbit has gone over the top or bottom line,,,then more fidly extraction is needed,,,,but in alot of cases,,it works well....it also keeps your net working ,,,because the bottom line is on the ground rather than a foot off the ground...

also getting the urine out of a rabbit,,,,usualy the rabbit has to be dead for 5 mins somtimes longer,,,this is so all the muscles relax,,,,you notice when you gutted the second rabbit,,,it had piss in the bladder..
