mark williams 7,549
Here`s the tree when I was 700 yds away and camera on full magnification. So wily these pigeons it`s untrue. I set up in full gillie suit, primos sticks and ordered my dog under the fir tree hedge out of sight. I managed to get just two woodpigeon, one of which I stopped Kaiser retrieving because of a lot of broken glass in the area it fell, the retrieved pigeon fell in the ploughed field. I also gave a grey squirrel a " reversed Mohican hair do"- one lucky nut nosher - 43 yd shot. atb Mark 7 Quote Link to post
Jonjon79 13,340
Ooh, those f***ing rural pigeons - they just seem to know whats going on. I definitely need to sort a hide Nice shooting Mark, I do like that springer Quote Link to post
Underdog 2,337
Good ole' springer? What's the the funny thing on top? Isn't it in the way of the sights? U. Quote Link to post
mark williams 7,549
Well U, I`ve got a confession to make I did try the open sights on the FWB`s and at best I was hitting golf ball sized groups at 38 yds ( very best). Average size groups would be a tennis ball. With the FWB`s scoped up - 5p groups all day long. So " hats off to you U" shooting open sighted, definitely not for me atb Mark. Quote Link to post
