I'm sure 30yrs ago I used to see them regular in the little woods in s.wales in the village.i was only 10yr old then.but I'm not 100% certain.

Would the reds have been around your own woods 30yrs ago.

Or have the greys been over here alot longer than 30yrs.

And driven the reds out.

There are reds doing really well up on the moors near Blanchland/Edmundbyers (County Durham)  I took this back in late August last year up there     I was amazed just last week to see a red squi

Yeah loads of forestry blocks TC, hopefully the Grey's in the main stay away, lovely to see the Red's knocking about up here

I've only ever seen 3 Grey's up here in this part of Cumbria, only Reds in the main thankfully

I'm 41 I'm not 100% the memory is a bit foggy thinking back that far.

I'm not sure releasing the reds will be any good with the greys still about

I.might be wrong though mate.

I agree with you , I see Grey's everywhere and trapped plenty . Would be nice to see reds around. Prince Charles place is 5 mins from here so maybe he might try it who knows

It must of been greys I seen as a kid then.

Can remeber the empty hazel nut shells with a neat hole.

On top of some tree stumps.and as a kid couldn't get my head around how they done it lol.

Apparently they have eradicated the grey squirrel out of Anglesey and the red is thriving there.

A map of the sightings of reds on Anglesey.

I think it was lolo was up in Anglesey showing the reds mate.

Amazing colour on them.

Shame the greys took over.

There's some good populations about the place by the sounds of it though.

Is there many forestry blocks up on the mountains fuji.
