How come she can paint this, but refuses to even lift a roller in the spare bedroom

Cheers guys, she's done a few of my dogs over the years, but this one surprised me. Here's one she did a couple of years back of my collie

Great paintings Trenchfoot. The thing with the eyes, Landseer said that the trick to successful animal painting is to give them human eyes. It isn't a trick, it's a talent, and your misses certainly h

Those eyes look even better in this pic trench.

They look like they are made of glass.

I've never seen a painting with eyes like that.

Quality work fairplay.

She finds it to stressful. She done a handful of pictures for other people of their dogs or horses and it makes her a pain in the arse to live with.

I've tried painting her back bedroom a few times over the years, but she's not interested!

Trenchfoot, if your wife done a few commissions you could pay a painter / decorator to paint those rooms for you.

She's very good and seems to have her own style.

I wish, she either does them as presents for friends, or gives them to charities to auction off to help raise funds. Then mithers me to buy her favourites back.

You can see that as a limited edition print in a trendy boutique or as a birthday card. The second one I find superb. Not just perfectly capturing a hound at rest but the colour and texture of the cushion, not easy and again good technique. Thanks for sharing them.
