Does anyone know much these ? I've managed to strip the threads in the plastic breech that the air bottle screws into. I think we've re threaded it with resin and the bottle now seems tight but it's now only chucking out 3ft lb.

Does anyone have any ideas or an exploded diagram / manual. Failing that does anyone work on them ?

Ahhhhh the Skan Swift :)

I know that they remind me of being about 14 and picking up Airgunner [When it was good]. They broke all the rules with how a pup should look at the time, like a fine bit of furniture. Wish someone would create a 21st century model.

No. It "should" be built on the core principles of a PCP. Unfortunalty, I cant offer much more than that. I would be very grateful for you to keep us updated mind.

You may find some joy here... maybe give them a call...

not sure whats going on with your gun but i will have go . not sure what you mean by bottle screwing into breech . If your gun works like a stealth . a hammer hits open a valve in the bottle to release air to shoot the gun the problem could be 1 alinement of bottle ..causing valve not to openig enough because of friction 2 air leak .. on opening valve not all air gets behind pellet some leaks out . 3 the bottle dosent go into the action enough ..not alowing the valve to open enough because hammer dosent hit with enough force . but if gun works like a theoben or air arms ect you screw on the air bottle and it is just the air supply that holds air now not leaking and the firing valve is somewhere else in the action . 1 the bottle may not screw in as far now so the bottle valve is not open enough ..so when the gun shoots there is not enough air flowing into the gun to get behind the pellet . also you may have dragged some of the chewed up thread into the action now causing some kind of blockedge . did you test the guns power before the thread chew up ?

On the subject of Skan rifles - I have a skan swift and was looking to try and replace its 0.100 litre air bottle, but have drawn a complete blank trying to find one. I'm not quite sure if its the bottle that has the fault or the gun (the bottle discharges as soon as you screw it into the gun), but I figured replace the bottle first to see if that is the problem.

Welcome aboard Peter.   Never come across a Skan so cannot help but depending where in Suffolk you are, I know of a proper gunsmith in Halesworth near Southwold who may be able to help, I am shocking at names but I think it is Richardsons and lovely people they are.
