Friend had a few problems with car, with handbrake on he had a job reversing as it was sticking and locking one rear wheel, I noticed one shock absorber , I try and say it as I seen it, one was upright showing the shiny silver as it was not releasing and other mormal as mine are, well

In garage and charged £170 for ; his words striped and cleaned and two new shock absorbers! My question is does that sound right in price? Many thanks BB.

That's why we should all try and become handy when growing up. I've got a touch like a baby elephant and no common sense. Tbh i don't have a clue about cars so could easily get the wool pulled over my eyes.

Sounds fair enough.Even if only one shock was knackered you should always change them in pairs and then I'm guessing that it could take upto a couple of hours to change them.

just change the rear shocks.springs. bushes and anti roll bar bushes on a golf 4 motion, parts alone were £180
