Evening all something that was talked about on a shoot recently , does feeding fresh bones to a dog encourage hard mouth or is it something that is hereditary past on to pups from a hard mouthed dam or sire,

Hard mouth can be a genetic trait, and can be created but feeding bone and flesh is not an issue.

I don't believe so, dogs know the difference between bones and treats and prey when out hunting. Never had a problem with hard mouth from feeding bones.
