Anyone having any luck on the lures recently. I haven't been out all winter with 1 thing or another but should have the weekend free just a matter of deciding a location now. Stick up a report on your piking success's lads and lasses

ive had a few on lures, works when they ain't taking dead baits, seem to be taking up in the water column
Nice 1 len do u use surface lures at all, I've got into them last year and must say it's exciting probably not that most productive but the hits are spectacular when they come
spinners and sub surface plugs mate got them about 3 foot below surface.

I'd walk the banks first with the lure and see where it's busy, and if you get a couple of big rises and dont connect, then go back with the deadbaits, if the Pike are a bit shy, go back with live baits, if that doesn't work, your f****d. :D

Here's a new slant on it.... pick a spot, feed loads a small particle bait, ie hemp,corn ,small pellet, to encourage the silvers to feed, keep feeding for seven to ten days and add Mackerel chops every other day... then fish it

Effort = Reward :)
