Most of the media will have you believe England's rivalies are with the likes of Germany and Argentina but the reality is their rivals are Holland and Brazil respectively. They don't give a shit about England! England vs Scotland is the world's oldest international fixture and original international rivalry.. You've every right to feel like you want to stuff the result down your opponents throats, if the result had gone the other way they'd have done exactly the same, just like we'd have done here in Wales ! Ask most England fans who actually follow them to tournaments and most will want to do the Germans over the Jocks does that make us rivals with them no probably not.......but 2 world wars and the football history we have with them makes it a huge fixture for us but no of course Geographically things are what they are.....me personally id rather beat the Germans than the Jocks but thats probably more from a competitive point of view you want to beat those in front of you more than you want to beat those behind you but yes by tradition alone the Jocks are our rivals....just not our most important fixture.....i guess competitively we are to the Jocks what Germany are to us Quote Link to post Share on other sites
