Were they tender rabbits ? Just wondering how long you roast them before adding to the stew which looks great

I like to roast my rabbits for an hour, cup full of water in the roasting dish to stop the meat drying out, then shred it and add it to the stew

Might be a daft question but why roast the rabbit before adding to stew? I usually just whack it in stew pot raw wi all veg n stock and chuck it in aga. Should I be roastin it first?!

Generally just whack everything in the slow cooker, make a guess for how long and eat. Does look good though. Jok.
