Afternoon On The Bucks

Recommended Posts

Oh man she's so good she loves to hunt. She has harvested a 4x4 mule deer buck at 762 yards, that's right!.. One shot right through the neck. Dropped it like a rock. Of course I had to pack it out. She just like one of the guys and cooks real good too. It's gotten so bad while hunting with my brothers they always ask me if shes gotten her deer yet so they can have her be the camp chef. They care less about me & they love her especially her cooking lol!

That's nice.......Over here the people own the wildlife but each state has the right to manage the wildlife within there state. All states have a limeted amount of resources/wildlife in there states so they have to manage there wildlife according to there available habitats. Surplus animals are therefore put up for the draw.....supply versus demand are high in most states.

Your right it is a draw/lottery! Here in Utah where I live you get to pick 5 units (general) if you don't get your first choice you get a point to increase your chances next year and points add up until you draw your first choice . You could still get a tag in your other choices but slim. Now they want to change that system so if you get any genaral unit you lose your points. In the western part of the US are deer herds are down but are starting to come back do to a lot of issues mostly drought. Eastern parts of the states they have to many deer but your still are limited to how many you can harvest. I hope this shed some light on the subject.

Coyotes are open year round and you just need a license to hunt them. In Utah there's a bounty on coyotes (Updated: February 8, 2016, 12:13 pm.

Utah's Predator Control Program. The DWR predator-control program provides incentives for hunters to remove coyotes. Participants receive $50 for each properly documented coyote that they kill in Utah.Feb 8, 2016). We don't have pigs here in Utah but some state do so I don't really know? For deer yes there is stipulation on size and it goes by antler size. Most states have at least one antler restriction four inches long or better to be legal to harvest.
