neil cooney 10,142 Report post Posted November 3, 2016 I've never hung plucked birds but do know that plunging them in hot water does work. But I rarely do it. Rough shot Pheasant rarely are corn fed so skinning is the handiest option and that's what I do. If they need some fat I drape some rashers across them.
