The half x could be on the heavier side if it throws strong to the collie, you should stand a better chance of a racy one 3/4 bred. I have a half bred hancock bitch here now 9 months old, nice and rac

My pup off merlin

What type of lurcher do you favour gilbey? i liked the saluki/lurcher cross collie lurcher for edible game.

the best all round hunting dog i ever saw was a boirder/beardie x grey by hancocks current stud dog mr jones. this bitch was about 24 tts and 50lbs, did EVERYTHING. i would have given my right arm to own that dog

I have a nose about once a month on there, quite liking the pups Mr. Jones are throwing.

The dog I had with border and beardie in its breeding was a different dog completely to the straight border collie cross.

I often use to refer to him as nose down eyes up because that's what he did best....out and out hunting dog. Rarely injured and saying this I had to close my eyes when he was chasing towards a hedge.......god knows how he never knocked himself out or worse. He's been caught up in barbed wire, also had himself more or less hanging from it on a fence,,,very little injury......proper robust dog......, I never bothered with fox, but he was fox mad...yet he was the most placid dog you could imagine who take a long walk to avoid other dogs. All he did at home was sleep.......sadly missed.
