I have two pairs of mealy redpolls that he be been together for a good few months I have put nesting materials and gave them different areas to nest in there avery fed them conditioning seed and dandylion heads etc but still no sign of them going to nest any ideas on where I could be going wrong does anyone breed these redpolls. How are you doing .thanks

Thanks for the reply lads yes I'm sure they are pair.my friend who breeds lesser redpolls can't seem to get the newly hatched young past 4 days even eggs he has floated looking like one of those seasons I imagine.

Thats a shame as my redpolls young un's are doing well and i rang a few more redpoll chicks just now,glad i did check them as tomorrow would have been deffo to late to,got a bully chick 2 days old but that's all i'm saying about that before i jinx it :laugh: ..

Tenbob I think its going to be one of those seasons, I've only bred three chicks from seven pairs (goldies,siskins and chaffies) so far and there's not that long left to turn it around so I'm not holding out much hope for the next few weeks.
