Guest terrierbullpit Posted October 3, 2005 Report Share Posted October 3, 2005 i have recently aquired a hind leg off a roe :whistle: and i have fallen in with a home smoker and fancied trying a change from the normal roast ! so has enyone tryed this and what would be the right way to go about smoking it ? ive got oak chipings that i use for fish they are chipping off of old whisky barrels and i smoke the od salmon and sea trout with this and its the dogs bollox ! but ime just not a %100 on how to do it with the roe meat ,ie how long do i smoke it , as for the longer you have it in the smoker the stronger the taste , and in my case the stronger the taste the stronger the heart burn ...................... sauer 2 Posted October 7, 2005 Report Share Posted October 7, 2005 i have a mate who has a hot smoker i his back garden and he does it and you would not believe how fecking good it is he makes chirzo sausges and salamis out o Roe and its beautiful hes on holiday but ill quiz him when he gets bcak how he does it if you want???
