and iv just found out that one of my cousins whos husband works in an electrode plating factory

 

where they do some of the shot gun barrels so im off tomorrow to see if he will do the bluing

Mac/jmmy offered to do some stock work for me on a rifle that I was servicing for a perm owner,

I declined cos it was a rough gun and just a quick fix.

So I put this challenge to him cos he's got some skills when it comes to fixing thing up, and we both thought it was a good idea for a good cause:)

So poor mac's copped for the hard part

Been up since 6ish working on the stock

 

im going to do this one the same as Simon,s stock some of the old into some of the new

 

iv left some of the old dark patches in the stock ,,,like around the cheek peace and on the pistol grip and the thumbs up

 

and a few here and there

 

now iv just got to smooth her out

Still a ways to go yet Si even before i put the first coat of stain on her lol

 

Im trying to get the blueing sorted as we speak

 

i think jjm knows some one that is good at it im just waiting for a pm off him

Right this blueing is all new to me so its going to be a hit and miss job

it will need another coat but it says leave for a few hours first
