Just a quick question, how do u neck poultry prior to eating as last time i necked a chicken i pulled it head clean off and iyd prefer not too?

That's just been a bit heavy handed mate.you could use something like a priest like you use on fish but a bit heavier,or what you have done but not as much pressure.

Just thinking about the welfare mate, the neck bone seems less obvious when broke so was making sure!

I had that problem. Not enough pressure and it is not a kill, too much and it's strawberry jam.

 

Jam is better than suffering though.

Hit it on the head hard with a priest it'll flap and jump everywhere. Hit it in the middle of the neck it'll hardly make a move. Try it.
