If you only want a fifty yarder, you have stacks of bag"loose netting", and you could get up to seventy five yards out of that net. We'll stick to 50 though. You need 105 or so yards of 3mm nylon braid, for running lines, and two end pins. The end pins should be of 1/4" stainless steel rod. they should be 9 1/2" long with a 2" ring on the top. If you're new however, and for convenience, the ring can be large enough so it won't go through the mesh, (saves terrible tangles). Lay your net out on a field, and thread the braid through all the edge mesh of one side, then through one of your end pins. Then all the way back through the other side of the net and through the other end pin. If you are a follower of Harold Wyman, then the two ends of the should be laid side by side and sewed together using strong nylon thread. You then want about ten 25" or so hazel pegs about as thick as your index finger at the pointed end. These should be seasoned by keeping them in the house for a month or two. That's you in business. Buy yourself a copy of the art of longnetting by Harold Wyman, it will set you up grand.
