Just bought a pair of Leupold BX-2 Cascades 8x42 Binoculars, love them, colour is good, I've had 10x50's that cant see as far as these, fit in a good sized pocket with the soft bag on, mid range in price. Made in Japan, and I think there is a lifetime guarantee.

In fact Vortex do a monocular that I have heard good things about, I think it's around £ I am probably going to get one of them for stalking in shit weather in tight cover, at the moment I leave the bins in the van but I could have that little monocular in my pocket and have the best of both worlds.

the vortex monocular cost me £45 , its small and light and easily fits in your pocket but not as good as binoculars ?

Just an FYI on vortex gear. All their optics come with their VIP lifetime warranty which is an "unconditional promise to repair or replace the product, absolutely free, no matter the cause". They'll replace them even if you break them!

 

Anyway, I'm expecting delivery of mine this week...

had a look thru vortex vipers few years back,and there brilliant mate..if I hadn't had a decent pair I would have defo bought some..am sure the lifetime warranty is transferable aswell..

I received my 10x42 vipers on monday. Been out a few evenings with them, setting my trail cam and generally doing recon. I'm very pleased with them. I can only compare them to the swaro glass I have on my rifle and in absolute honesty I'd say their low light performance and clarity is equal with only their periferal clarity just a bit lacking. For £380 I'm really very happy and as of now, am very glad I didn't spend 3x as much on a premium brand.

 

Yes, the warranty is fully transferable. If these get dropped down a cliff and smash to bits, vortex will replace them free of charge! That's class imo!

I bought the £40 monocular and am surprised at the quality of it... Especially for a £40 bit of kit.

 

If I didn't already hace the swaro's I think Vortex are the way i'd go.

Make sure your not wearing them if they go over the cliff Born , you haven't got a life time warranty ..??
