A Quick Once Over Of The Victory M22 Pcp.

Recommended Posts

My neighbour has just got one of these rifles in .177.

Beech stocked, 12 shot magazine, safety catch on trigger blade (pin through job). Qiuck fill air tube with gauge, probe comes complete with Foster type quick connect, so buy one of these and get half a quick change kit.

Loaded up with Prometheus Defiant pellets that I had lying around as the pellets supplied with it were not exactly top line (some sort of Remington pellets), It is accurate, producing one hole groups at 15 metres, power is around the 11.25 ft lb mark, so right where it should be as well. The trigger is good, not outstanding but good, it has a nice clean release and a reasonable amount of feel to it.

It is well balanced and not too heavy, the barrel is shrouded and quite effective.

He got a new rifle, secondhand scope, mounts and pellets for £350! If you are considering a cheap PCP have a look at this SMK....

SMK rifles have come a long way since they started now building good rifles well made and some even look good now

there spring rifles look top notch now

even thought of buying one and tuning it up as we do with the likes of hw97 ,,AA tx,, pro sport and the likes just to see what they would be like .

and at the price of £150 to £200 may be worth a chance

a quick polish and a vortex seal and a spring up grade :hmm::hmm::hmm:got me thinking now

What people seem to think of the quality for Chinese rifles is Westlake B2, end of. The other makers like Snowpeak etc have come on in leaps and bounds, quality has improved exponentially as owners of the Shorty bullpup will testify. The XS19 has been a cheap but reasonable spring powered for many years....
