but the first coat brings out all the grain and the flecks

 

plus the old dark parts that are staying in her

 

if im honest i think its nice to have a bit of old and new mixed into one

 

it looks good imo

yea i agree you dont want it looking too new its coming on well ?

 

Im going to true oil her just as i did with the SMK stock i think it gives a nice finish to the stock

 

The oil and the stain are made from the same company

Can you imagine, if they "forced" a pair of Speedo swimming trunks on to you and then rubbed you all over with true oil and stain.

Wonderful! I love watching Larry Potterfield's gunstock restorations on youtube and he uses this stuff. Magic!
