Yes but your hw100 is all ready wall nut not beach and beach stocks once stipped and oil or wax,d turns yellow ish and dose not look that good

and dye or stain is needed to fetch the grain out in wall nut the grain is there so just needs oil

to fetch it out more

hear is a beach stock that just had oil put on after stripping and smoothing off

not all stocks just need oil or wax

THIS TIME YOU ARE WRONG MITCH

To me that looks better than stain s**t any day , sorry

So you have never had a rifle that has had stain on it when new ?

and if you think that the yellow finish is better then you have

bad taste in rifle stocks or is that why you only go for wall nut stocks less maintenance just a rub down and apply oil

what ever floats your boat

My Air Sporter, must be best part of 45 years old now, bought new by yours truly, and original Beech stock, this is what time does to it. Obviously never did rate it as quality wood but it holds a certain charm.
