WTF is a "working mans price" ?? Other than a term to try and run the price of an item down on the back that your going to work / use the dog / item ??

 

To me it's total bollox .. If you want the said item / dog then you'll pay for it!!

 

 

How many spouting the working mans price bollox walks in to tescos / asda or where ever you shop, fill your trolley then go to the till and when the person on the till puts everything through and says "that will be £150" Ahhh sorry that's not a working mans price ?!

The reason IMO working dogs should be cheap is as I have said before ..you will most likely go through a good few until you get exactly what you want.. It then becomes an expensive hobby at overinflated prices

Please take this in the best possible way .... But that's bollox !! The only way you get stung is when your buying someone else's off casts .. I've learnt a few hard ways in the dog game you really can't trust no fecker !!

 

Buy a pup and train it, you get out of it what you put into it simple !!

 

I soooo soooo believe that working dog pups should be priced higher than any fanny licker ... You see your chihuahuas / poodles / shih tzu's £500 plus that's just been left to run around the house waiting for the next season to bang them in pup .....

 

Yet you have your working dogs that's out in all weathers, some for 5 / 7 days a week for hours upon end ... Then when the owner decided a to breed them they have to sell them at a "working mans price" (next to nothing) or gift them or he'll look a c*nt !!

You could apply that mindset to everything from a car to a pair of boots.

So every purchase should be cheap just in case it doesn't suit you?.

Add to that the bangers who won't ever have a good dog due to being said bangers, regardless of the dogs breeding.

The reason there are so many lurchers in the pound is because they are free and cheap, an easy cheap throw away and start again (free or cheap mind) commodity.

The thing I've noticed over many years is that it is the real working dog men looking to pay 1970 era prices that seem to go through the most dogs.

Another thread ruined!! I am interested in a bushing dog of this make up. Would I pay £300? Yes if it was what I was after. I would be happy to do some extra work to get some cash in if I thought these would do what I wanted. Has anyone who is genuinely interested spoken to this guy? I have and he seemed genuine, offered me to see the dam and sire and show them working. Yes to some people it's a lot of money, including me but, I would be willing to pay it if I could get the extra cash in. I have been looking for a while now and even a cocker X terrier type will cost you a fair bit. Each to their own but don't see why they have to vent it on here.

Possibly because he,s posted on a forum set up to share and debate,the debate part lends a clue to members input.£300 for a mongrel busher is fecking greed,when greed comes into producing workers its often the case that the work factor comes second to the dollar.Greed is the ruination and downfall of working jukels.
