Sounds a great "do" lads...

Must be nice to be on some open warrens Phil, beats battling through hawthorn, blackthorn and bramble I'm sure!!

:hmm:Hmm,..you would think that was the case....and as much as I respect my dear friend Vin and his rabbiting partner Tomo,....and the beauty and splendour of the Dales, never fails to move me,...but,....I always long for the ancient woodlands, ferreting under the mighty Oak's mysterious roar,...and standing behind those deep chalk warrens, high on the South Downs ,..a hundred burrows dug by generations of long dead rabbits,...and the miles of hedgerow, riddled with holes, that are part and parcel, of the Hampshire commercial Partridge shoots.....

Yes, I know its illogical,...and most keen ferreting lads would love to give those open warrens a try, but, truth is...I really enjoy my hunting, amidst the bracken and bramble ...I love to set my 'stop nets',...and wait quietly, watching my wee cur,...lying in ambush,...for that sudden bolt.....

Facts are, its great to go on a wee holiday, but its always nice to be back home...

Haha... I know exactly what you mean, they can be very hard won down this neck of the woods!! Lol

We have the odd open warren, almost feel spoilt taking a rabbit out of em lol...

But.... It looks a cracking place for a days holiday, nice one to Tomo and Vin for putting on such a good days sport !!
