No photograph but I am very excited because I think I have seen a woodpecker today. I caught a flash of a bird that seemed to have some pink on it's back and black and white chevron on the tail/back, it was just a second or two but does this sound like a woodpecker?

 

I also have a couple of pics of the Sandwich and Arctic terns which I'll stick up, they're not great but they definitely aren't black headed gull this time lol

Nice sarnie terns Nic, RB Merganser as well.....nice

 

There was a little Egrit there as well actually he is always there lol but every photo came out blurry....I swear to god I have to take about 100 photos just to get a handful lol

Do the colours I describe sound anything like a Woodpecker, unfortunately it was a fleeting glance but I knew it wasn't something I have seen before. I'll keep my eyes out and camera handy!
