Pretty much any of the coast line walking out from St davids,the headland at whitesands(right hand side from the beach) is a good mark for all sorts from flatties (off to the right of the headland point) to congar (under your feet at night) and i even used to feather up lance for bait there.Lots of wrase,dogfish and pollock from all round the coast from the rocks but still a tad early for the mackeral and bass yet,my favourite method off the rocks was a 1-2 oz bomb on a swivel clip with a 18" trace and a no 2 long shank hook on a spinning rod and a flask full of frozen sand eels and some bait elastic to bind on the sand eels and a pocket full of spare end tackle,just spin it over the top of the kelp off the rocks and you will have good sport that is easy to move onto the next mark with.But all of the Pembroke coast is first class and up to cardigan is also very good at all times of the year,tackle shops in Haverford west,fishguard(check out right opposite the ferry entrance for a boat chandlers with good tackle bits in it )and cardigan,sneek along the railway at fishguard past the ferry guards and get out on the outter harbour wall and fish down between the blocks with a boat rod and 200lb line for the most mental congar fishing you will ever have ,just hit it and wind like your life depends on it mate as your'll get snapped off but it's some buzz when you land one...
