You Dirty Rat

Recommended Posts

Yes it's only a quick fix job to get rid of these bad boys. Did have some black plastic ones like jaws somewhere .

The Little Nippers are fine for the odd DIY job, I still have a handful knocking about but they don't last.

I have found the bait platform can easily deform, it can easily be set much to hard, and has a bad habit of releasing on your fingers if you try and set it light.

Like I say, for the odd DIY problem fine, but I use the Snap E almost exclusively now, I have a few T-Rex but they are simply not required for almost everything I do. Whilst the Snap E is a bit more expensive than the Littler Nipper (and the Pro Victor) I find they work better and last longer which in real terms means they are cheaper for me!

Make sure you anchor the trap somehow.

Professionally, mine all have to be set in outer boxes, this actually has the benefit of ensuring the rat approaches the trap on a route that means VERY close to 100% success rate, which makes the T-Rex almost redundant.

Snap E traps in AF boxes, what I tend to use a lot of.post-10759-0-78796700-1455190615.jpgpost-10759-0-19415000-1455190620.jpgpost-10759-0-51519800-1455190625.jpgpost-10759-0-49894300-1455190630.jpg

The box funnels the rat to the kill zone and is very effective. Use also as a normal bait box if required!

My supplies come from the trade who will not supply end users, but you will find them if you search about.

Cheers

Others makes are available!
