Gaiters...

Got a pair of Barbour gaiters I use for beating hill walking etc with lurchers very good they got no zip on but a Velcro closer at front instead of a zip very easy to get on and off can't do zip ones due to bad knee lol atb taffey

Check your local ALDI they had gortex gaitors for £4.99 reduced to 50 pence in the sale I bought all the long ones for my son even if they don't last long I don't reckon I will be out of pocket

I've gone through quite a number of Gore-Tex gaiters, they can tear quite easily is thick brush. Best buy I've made as far as gaiters are concerned are a pair of olive Fjallraven Sarek gaiters (they're available in black too). They do need waxing occasionally (Greenland Wax), but they're tremendously hard-wearing and waterproof providing you look after them and wax them occasionally. It's quite therapeutic! I've found, with gaiters, you buy cheap and you'll be buying again soon after.
