Popular Post keith j 1,088 Posted November 11, 2015 Popular Post Report Share Posted November 11, 2015 Loathed by most,loved by a few,an unworthy opponent to some terrier men, yet a more than worthy opponent by others.Some like to kill the odd few now and then, others like myself hunt them on a weekly basis with no closed season . I however find this hard biting little rodent a joy to hunt with my dogs,and as some on hear know i have killed thousands of them over the years.They can and do bite hard especially when killed in number and on a regular basis, and can inflict a bit punishment on our little dogs.I here more than often ratting is for pups,''bollocks'' it is obvious these people haven,t killed rats in number or if many at all.i also hear that failed earth dogs make the best ratters,that's not the case either. Ive seen top earth dogs bin turned inside out by a good ratting terrier hunting rats that hasn't bin under the sod.and before the digging lads jump out off the woodwork and shoot me down this is not, i repeat is not about comparing earth work to ratting as ive done both,but to be honest ratting wins hands down for me.But if were all honest you can't beat a bit ratting,with our little companions ,the brown rat is hear to stay and will be the last to seek protection by the antis so lets enjoy rather than slate lads for enjoying what is a fantastic adrenalin fueled sport to be enjoyed by all.... 30 Quote Link to post

And I don't give a terrier any respect because it's a good rater because most breeds of dogs will rat and kill them in numbers so I wouldn't big a dog up because he can kill hundred rats in a day but u r intitled to u r opinion as I am mine 2 Quote Link to post
