Pickling Time Again

First try on pickling my first crop of jalapeno peppers.

 

Will put them in a brine of vinegar, sugar, salt and water, adding a crushed garlic clove and a bay leaf.

 

 

Now my question to you more knowledgeable gentlemen, should I put the peppers in whole or slice them up ? and what else should I add to the brine....

Looks a good crop you got there, you can pickle them whole or sliced it's personal preference really but they'll retain more of their heat if you leave them whole :thumbs:

 

Brine sounds good I'd chuck a handful of peppercorns in there too though.
