New Awesome Reloading Toys For Me :) Check These Out

Recommended Posts

i got a lyman gen 6, great tool

That's Wat I had my eye pal

But it's hard to beat a scale

If I was just loading hunter loads I would have got the lyman gen 6 but as I'm big into longrange shooting I want to be as accurate as possible.

How fast does the lyman do a charge like 10 seconds or 20 seconds etc

£125 delivered bargain if u ask me

Read up about the gen 6 for best accuracy turn it on and let it sit for 30mins to a hr something todo do with static discharge

But good thing with the lyman not affected affrcted by draft as much as the beam scales

And very fast but tm should be as fast

Well my toys arrived today :)

Very impressed simple idea the trickler but works perfect only had to adjust it 3 times before it got dialed in say 2/3 mins to set it and that was first time so should be close everytime now so less time fiddling with it.

The rcbs 10 10 scale is very sensitive unlike my older lyman 500 scale.

If u look very closely at it the two marks u try and line up never actually stop as there is always abit of a breeze about either from me moving breathing or shouting at the dog.

The lyman scale would stop dead and not move like the rcbs seems like the lyman is abit sticky compared to the rcbs so thumps up to the rcbs company.

I'll load up50 .223 rounds tomorrow and see just how handier it is.

also bought a small prism (bends light aka see around corners) to put in front of the marks that u line up so i can look down on it rather than bringing ur head down level

Every time.

Well worth £3.50

Will post pic tomorrow

I really like my TM and put a nearly charge in the pan and press the button to finish it off...... once set up, it's ready before I've seated the bullet in the previous case.

When Allan was customising scales for better accuracy he was fitting a small bracket arm to the body of the scales and supplying a small USB camera that just plugs into your computer so you don't have to get your head level with it. Cheap as chips on fleabay:

Pics of mine..... shows the camera on it's bracket but probably easy enough to rig up a stand to get it in the right place

All set up on a couple of Argos marble chopping boards separated by some spiked HiFi feet I had in the bits drawer to get it perfectly level......... the diamond drill from Toolstation was the expensive bit (around £15?). To get the important bits in the same place every time I used a bit of double sided sticky to hold a plastic strip on the marble to push the scales feet up to and some sticky feet pads to position the sensor housing in the right place. The only difference with the 10-10's (nice) is you'll have the sensor in front of the scales.

Cheers
