Quick Question

Absolutely fine mate ... If you're worried ring your vets and ask when the last case of parvo was ... I take a litter of pups out into the middle of nowhere to run around at least three times a week ... It gets them used to the car and they see smell and hear new sights ... All good for their education and socialising........

At this age Mist's pups are still full of her immunity: it's called maternal immunity and it lasts more or less as long as they are suckling her, and often quite a bit longer, but it varies from pup to pup and litter to litter. At the moment they'll be fine unless you have just had a nasty bug go through your lot.

Due to inherent immunisation my vet suggests doing the first jab around 15 weeks which is what I did with lotty .......

15 WEEKS !? Is that it quite late ? My vet will do them from 8 weeks (our pup had his first yesterday) and I know a vet that does them from 7, as soon as theyve left the bitch.

If you ask a dozen vets, would you get a dozen answers ?

New science has proven that if the bitch is carrying the antibody it will be in the pups system up until 15 weeks so it's pointless immunising any sooner .........

early age they be ok . Only time i wouldnt is if you have rats in garden if on farm or something. As there a new strain of lepto thats carried from rat i think Protection to this isnt carried from bitch. Protection only come from once jabbed i think. Maybe someone else might know more.

With the pups here , iv got Tia and willow all have had there jags is it ok to put the pups on the grass with the other dogs been on the gras ?

Vaccination is no guarantee of safety, ever.I try and keep mine isolated from areas other people walk their mutts until they are much older.
