riflehunter583 58
The story would read like this: ‘old man dies of heart attack on the hill deer gets away’ I know you like your deer now so Imagine we when up Scotland hill stalking and on the end of my rifle was the evo mod (much lighter) and on your rifle was your mae mod (much heaver). quieter maybe. Who do you think would be having the heart attack at the top of the Scottish hill? Fact is it would be the old man with the mae. At best y’d have to role a fag, hands shaking while i rang the mountain rescue. 1 Quote Link to post

I recond you could ditch the rifle and when you pop your head round a bush the deer will look at you and turn to stone. Quote Link to post

You might just have a point there little man, the old mans starting to see sense. . shows you can teach an old dog new tricks. with the lighter mod on the end (pic bellow) the balance seems better despite it being a heavy barrel 24 inch. I would imagine with your mae your rifles balance is very nose heavy all to cock, not ideal. the wildcat evo bellow has certainly helped the balance despite it being a heavy barrel. charlie caller 3,654
No actually with the PES on board it is quite nicely balanced, but then that is the beauty of reflex mods, and I have to say the weight including scope and bipod does not bother me at all, it might in 20 years but not these days little man. riflehunter583 58
well when i had an mae on my last rifle, also a heavy barrel balance was terrible worst mod i tried for balance. even off bipod. kneeling and standing shots, ok but very much off balance. dispite what you say about the mae being reflex its still on the end of a barrel (A LEVER) there is no getting away from that fact. having tried so many mods I'm not convinced what you are saying is on the level old timer. I've noticed you will say things but not be able to back them up in real life. The only other explanation: I'm stronger than you; consequently my barrel is heavier, wider and longer putting any extra, unneeded weight on the end of it will make it off balance more so compared with your barrel. charlie caller 3,654
This is becoming a little tiresome now I am sure you know best, as long as you are happy thats what counts, as they say ignorance is bliss Quote Link to post
